So, as promised, I got some painting done. Another ten marines worth of models in the form of five land speeders. I hit a minor problem today when I couldn't find the weapons I'd prepared for these guys, so they're using ones borrowed form other speeders I've already painted. I suspect the ones I was going to paint accidentally got thrown out :(
The other thing I've gotten done is a base for the thunderhawk. First time I used weathering pigments on the metal components on the base like the barrels. I really think I need some bright orange there though to help break up all the brown / red colours on the base. Unfortunately, I own no bright orange fresh rust coloured weathering pigments. I will have to come back and touch up the base later when I do get some. The base itself is huge! Two hundred millimeters! Must say I'm glad the guy at Dragonforge drilled out the hole for the acrylic rod I also got from him.
